Time to upgrade chairs, seems like a good deal. I don't have serious back problems or anything but the lumbar support would be nice.

(need something solid for the summer before upgrading to something really fancy, so please don't recommend an Aeron right now)
 


Isn't the point of having a mesh chair to avoid having foam which inevitably flattens out? I don't know why the Aeron fakes never seem to make the seat mesh too, it's always just the back and then you end up with the same old problems as every other cheap shit chair.

I'm a CHEAP bastard so I just took my Footjoy Golf Shoe box and stuffed it with newspaper and then slid it under my desk to prop my feet up on.

You can adjsut the height of the shoe box by just flipping it up on it's side if you want it higher.

Nice discount and sounds like a good deal. You MUST visit a local store where it's for sale and try it before you buy, can't do that on Amazon. Or you can get of your fat ass and exercise a bit, any decent chair will do.
 
I bought a really nice Aeron fake from Staples a year ago that has a mesh seat and back with excellent lumbar support for my bad lower back. It's amazing and no swamp ass. I got it for $129. We liked it so much that we went back to grab the other one they had in stock for my wife. Amazing chair.

What he said ^^^ DO NOT buy a chair with a leather seat or your ass will be sweaty all the time. Trust me on this one. I bought a cheapo Ikea chair here in Spain with a mesh back and leather seat and I have to use a folded towel on the seat to keep it comfortable.

Also consider a high back and neck support. I don't like low back chairs at all.

Once again I'll recommend Obusforme. If you're not going the Herman Miller route you really can't go wrong with a chair made by a company that specializes in ergonomics, and specifically, back support. Yes, they are more expensive than what you are looking at above, but they are worth every dollar. With as many as 16 adjustment points they can be customized to suit anyone. These are just the links I could find quickly, but you should be able to find them in the $500 range.
