Anyone here made a final move from iPhone to Android?

I have both and overtime I feel that Android phones slow down when it comes to wake up times. Other than that Android has more options to customize

I love it so far. Only draw-back is battery life.

Check your battery usage in the settings for "Google Services". If it is showing up higher than a couple percent on the list, uncheck "Use Wireless Networks" or "WiFi & Mobile Network Location" in the location settings. There is a known bug with it causing battery drain, especially when on wifi. The battery life on my Note 3 went up by a lot after I unchecked that and Google Services is rarely even on the battery usage list anymore.

Went from iPhone 4s to the Galaxy S3 last year... I tried to convince myself it was better because I liked the bigger screen and the ability to customize everything. I last about 6 months, and went back to the iPhone with a 5c. Sweet relief... For me here's just an intangible quality with the iphone that's hard to describe. With Android I felt like I was dragging the os behind me - always a few clicks ahead of it waiting for it to catch up. With the iphone, it feels like it knows what I'm about to do and is right there with me.

In a perfect world I'd still have my Sidekick 3. Sigh.

HTC One here, been an iPhone user since the 3g.

Never going back.

the simplicity and choices of the iphone has people sold. androids got way too much going on. I understand why a lot of ppl like iphone more. It's the usability. but as far as im concerned i could use a nokia 3310, wouldnt change a thing to what im doing as far as phones.

I switched from the iPhone 5 16GB to a Nexus 5 32GB a few days ago.

Some things I really like so far:
-Huge 1080p screen which is much better than the iPhone 5's screen
-You press a button to display ALL of your apps which you flip through like the iPhone, but you also have a main screen where you can display your most common apps. This makes apps easier to find.
-All your downloads from the internet are placed inside a downloads app
-Google Now makes Siri look like a toy - it's very smart and pulls up data pretty quickly - check it out - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2vT0AWDq3DE
-The price: Bought a 32GB Nexus 5 UNLOCKED for $400 before tax while my 16GB iPhone 5 would have been $649 if I bought it unlocked.
-You can unlock the phone with facial recognition as opposed to a PIN. You can also set a setting which tells you to blink before it lets you in your phone (to make sure you're alive? lol)

Good features that I haven't really used, but that the iPhone 5 does not have:
-802.11ac (faster)
-wireless charging
-Android Beam or NFC - transfer data between to devices held close to each other like in the Samsung Galaxy commercials.

Some things I don't like:
-Speakers aren't as good as the iPhone's; they are kind of scratchy.
-The home screen is sometimes flickery in the orange section
-Obviously no iMessage which means all your texts will use SMS

Lol. You don't deserve to be able to use the incredible technology of 'internet' if you want tamagotchi with your phone.

Good call! Google Play Services was like 50% of my battery usage. I set it to use the device (gps) only. Hopefully, that will help.

The battery life isn't horrible or anything. It lasted almost all day without charging and since it's new I was playing around with it a lot. I assume, as the newness wears off, I will use it less and the battery will last longer. Plus, it's super simple to place it on the qi wireless charger at my desk while I am working.

Either way, I'll give up some battery life in exchange of a quad core processor and a 1080p display.

First smartphone was a iPhone 3GS. I'd argue it was the best phone out at the time. Android just simply wasn't nearly as mature of a platform as it is today. I then switched after 2 years or so to the Galaxy SII. Now I'm on the Note II. Love it and would not switch back to iPhone.

You battery life should be much better now with that disabled. Google Play Services will probably drop to a low single digit percentage if it even shows up on the list.

From what I have read, there is some issue with that location service keeping the phone/processor "awake" constantly, so it never drops into the lowest power mode.

Recently switched from Android to iPhone5s.

Every girl at my college had an iPhone, and thought I was a broke mofo for using an Android.

Really, it's all personal prefereance. Same thing, different interface.
