I am running a iPhone 3G with 3.0 and its been jailbroken since day one, you can use PwnageTool and create the file and restore with it.

The only issue I ran into was when I jailbroke and enabled mms and tethering, I lost internet through the phone itself. It would tether fine but I could not use safari or anything without wifi.

I played with the settings and got it working.
The copy/paste is so worth the upgrade.
Now you can mms inside of the text app without having to use swirlymms or anything like that.

I enabled tethering without Jailbreaking and it works great!

The MMS patch does not work. I think AT&T is blocking it on their end.

Looks like your suppose to install AppSync 3.0 and not miPatch for OS 3.0, as miPatch isn't compatible with 3.0.

That's what I get jumping off a cliff before looking.

I didn't even know about miPatch. I always did it manually - making folders and adding mobileinstallation file etc. Nice! Gonna install AppSync now. Got a ton of hacked apps to sync.

Getting MMS to work is very simple, as long as you have family unlimited texting.
If you have an iPhone package for texting then your out of luck, but you could try this anyway.
Just go here: hxxps://www.wireless.att.com/olam/chatLandingAction.olamexecute?event=displayChatRoutingScreen&actionType=data&issueSelected=Internet%20connectivity%20on%20your%20device

Login if it asks you to.
Once you are there click on Click to Chat.

This is exactly what you need to say.

[you]: I called at&t support and I don't have another phone to troubleshoot my device. So they told me to come here and troubleshoot.

[rep]: blah blah blah

[you]: Well my problem is my internet is not working on my iPhone.

At this point they will ask you for account information just like they do when you call 611.

Give them all the information and they will start to troubleshoot and ask you to turn your phone off, etc.

They should send new information to your phone.

If they say turn it of and on and check again you say no it's not working.
Make sure they send the information.

Once they do, your mms will start working just fine, as long as your settings in your ipcc file are correct.

If anyone needs help hit me up on aim or skype, toughmarketing.
