"Internet Marketing" is nothing more than a generic term for lack of a better one.
Between the online businesses and my brick n mortor businesses my understanding is that the marketing of the two operate on a completely different set of physics.

Well, you get what you ask for. You laughed at these guys who are trying to make a buck by labeling themselves as gurus and trying to sell their knowledge in ebooks so I just told how I feel about your way to make money.

Actually, my whole point was that here everybody is making fun of "ebook gurus" and raving how the information should be free when that's just stupid and naive. Also, I can't understand why in this forum all ebooks are so underrated. I can proudly say that without ebooks I wouldn't make as much as I do now. I don't make *that* much, but I make good living. You just have to know how to pick the right ebooks.

Probably many people here could benefit a great deal from the right ebooks. Almost all information in those ebooks can be found in public forums, but it's your choice if you want to pay $50 for the whole package or do you want to spend next three months reading thousands of useless forum messages. Also, there have been some examples where the ebook has had really effective tactic that author has developed.

I rarely buy ebooks or courses nowadays, I mainly read marketing books they use in universities etc.

I don't want to get in on this, but micfire, stop being an ass. You may think you're some guru or some shit selling these get rich quick shit that people keep buying, but it only makes you an asshole giving people false hope.
Nope, sorry. I don't sell any get rich quick stuff. IM market is just boring and products are outdated fast. I prefer more "steady" market.

Yea. For some fucking worseless reason I just can't relax when someone is calling me a douchebag and asshat... but again, that's just me. I get it, it's ok to call ebook writers and other "gurus" idiots, but calling some loser doing Adsense arbi a loser.

Hmm, I still have to say shit and fuck you to you all.

name 1 ebook that wasnt public info.
Let me quote myself:
Almost all information in those ebooks can be found in public forums, but it's your choice if you want to pay $50 for the whole package or do you want to spend next three months reading thousands of useless forum messages.

You can find almost anything on public forums, but for me time is money and it's all about ROI. I rather pay and learn fast about something than go to forums and start reading 100 useless messages and then find one with good and useful info.

name 1 ebook that helped you
I give you two... Back in the days Perry Marshall's Definitive Guide to Adwords was quite helpful when I was learning Adwords. Also Corey Rudl's Internet Marketing ebook was some good shit when I was starting. Rudl's book is pretty basic stuff, but I would still recommend it to everybody who's trying to make a living online.
