Anyone quit drinking coffee?

Green Coffee Bean Extract has been proven to help boost your metabolism due to the cholorgenic acid that it contains, which then increases weight loss without changing your diet or exercising more.

Coffee is a MIRACLE of modern science.

Off the thing for 2 days. No major difference in productivity. Sometimes I feel like my eyes are getting heavy, but then I feel like that most times getting things done.

luv luv luvin it

I didn't read some bullshit article on how bad it is or saying anything like it, I'm just trying to stay substance free entirely. Though I work out and eat real food, this seems to have turned into a routine/tradition of mine to the point where I may sip 2 to even 3 cups a day. After a few hours that initial energy highpoint seems to fade and leave me drained.

Anyone quit drinking coffee? And what did you use to replace the habit with to still be able to think clearly/remain energized as you go about your day?

Lots of studies show that coffee/caffeine is good for you long term. I get through about 600-800mg of caffeine a day and it doesn't negatively affect me in any noticeable way. I could probably do with a couple weeks off, and starting low again though.

Just try to spread the dose throughout the day.. If you have everything in the morning you'll crash in the afternoon. If you spread it out well you should be good through to late evening, when you probably want to start getting tired anyhow.

As others have said ... I don't smoke, I drink in moderation, I don't drink soda at all (esp Colas), I've greatly reduced sugar and saturated fats over the last year, so no-one is coming between me and my Yorkshire Tea and my old friend Pellini Top ...

Meh..

I don't smoke, I don't drink.

I do, however drink ridiculous amounts of coffee.
Also glad I don't get any wuthdrawal symptoms (pussies!), on the weekend I drink 1-2 cups max per day, back to 8-10 right on Monday.

I'd be worried sick if the world stops shaking all of a sudden.

I used to drink 3-4 cups a day. It was shit, because, well, coffee doesn't really help with productivity once you go past maybe 1 cup/day or so.

So I went cold turkey for about a month and now drink coffee like 3-4 times per week (when I really need to get shit done). It works.

tl;dr what cardine said.

I usually drink 2-3 cups every morning. If I stop drinking coffee for 2-3 days, I'll start getting weirdly emotional.

There was a time when I didn't understand the "weirdly emotional" stuff was just withdrawal symptoms. Now I know, and sometimes I just need to go get some caffeine.

I can break though it if I last a week, but that's 3-4 really "blah" days, and I'd rather have the coffee and productivity right now.

I drink a morning shake with bananas and oatmeal, sometimes curd if i feel like a bodybuilder. The cacao beans fit right in! You can also eat them with your cereals - you just need a blender to crush them.

Sounds interesting, but can a regular blender chew up the oatmeal and the beans enough for it not to taste like lumps in your shake?

thought I would at least see one quote from Glen Gary Ross in this thread ;)

I quit coffee and started taking a single 200mg caffeine pill every morning when I take my vitamins/supplements.

did not have any issues with being tired or headaches. and I still feel like I get a wake-up boost in the morning.

I hear some people want to give up coffee, because it gives them the unwanted or excessive alert? not sure. I feel rusty without coffee.

Pretty much what Cardine says.

I gave it up initially 2 years ago because was so run down even two strong cups in a row had me wanting to nap at noon.

After a month started to feel a lot better. Limit it now to one or two a day but for me even one a day starts to wear me down after a while because it affects my sleep (even drinking it in the morning) so was just thinking of quitting again.
