Anyone slang on Craigslist/Ebay?

Any craigslist/ebay sellers here? I've been making pretty decent money lately buying ipods and other small electronics on craigslist, and reselling them either back on cl or on ebay. There are some crazy deals on CL.. like for instance I picked up an iPhone 3g today for $60. The back was pretty fucked up, but I can easily sell it for $100-$150, more if I try. I've also got a pimp ass minifridge for $40 (eighth actually...but thats a different story)

Anyone have experience with this kinda thing? Any product you have found that works well?
 


I know a couple of guys who tried trading a quarter for an ipod, didnt end up working out too well:

i know a bud who used to do it quite a bit with sony psp. he made some mad coin (at the time, considering we were jobless in 9th grade) and was balling with large size slurpees every lunch hour.
 
I got a few free ipads to give away, but to make sure you're legit I'll need you to complete one of these credit reports, they're completely free dude I'm serious.

Friend used to hit up estate sales on CL looking for film cameras, lenses and old film. Then resell on Ebay.

Actually he stills does. And he's a tenured professor at a university here. Good coin.

Lots of people think old film isn't worth anything. Wrong.
 
There are seriously alot of idiots out there that thinking buying second hand automatically equates to a good deal. Just check out the computer section and see how many old shitty P4 - XP era desktops are selling for 2 to 5 hundred bucks, because they spent a thousand on it 5 years ago they think it obsolescence retains value. And if people are selling it, people are buying it.
 
I have a friend who buys old school audio equipment (tube amps, reel to reel) and resells it to audio freaks on ebay and other forums.
 
10 years ago a friend of mine used to hit all the thrift stores in her city looking for polo shirts and other clean clothing, often picking them up for 50c a piece and selling them for $6-20 on eBay. It's getting harder now though because of all the fees. I just listed a few things I need to get rid of last night on eBay and the 9% final value fee almost made me fall out of my seat! BTW, I wrote this a few years ago Randomn3ss — How to list an eBay auction for maximum profit and it did well around the Internet... doubt anyone here needs the info but if you're new to eBay, there are some tried and true tips there.
 
I had a garage sale this last week, and had about 45 DVDs for sale.
A lady came in and wanted to know what I would take for all of them, so I sold them to her for $60.

I don't know what she was doing with them (she admitted she didn't like horror movies, and their were several of those), but perhaps reselling at a pawn shop?
I've heard people do that...not sure if it's accurate or not though.
 
the grimiest i've yet to see was when i went to a flea market a few weeks ago and the flea marketers were going around, buying stuff from the other flea marketers on the other side of the market, and then reselling them for markups.
