I am sure there are great niches out there, but they are very limited. The guy who was complaining about CPAE was supposedly netting $1K a day (not sure how valid that is).

But it's pretty damn hard to run email submit campaigns using PPC, at least with google, unless you can get .05 bids. A payout of $1.30 or so cannot be made into profit on a bid more than .15, unless the conversion rate is amazing (which we all know its usually not).

Is there still a market for this? If there is, it's probably in some obscure niche.

I've been trying to figure out Google Adwords for a while, and so far have lost tons of money. My QS is usually great (usually a 7-8/10), and I feel like my landing pages are good too, but I can't seem to make a profit. Conversions are very low. I am just wondering if I should waste any money on this.

You think its PPC though? I know plenty of other bum marketing ways to do this, but it brings alot of garbage traffic to the advertiser.

^^ ahahaha

Yup, email subs via ppc are alive and well. The key is rotating offers and testing, testing, testing.

SEO Dave had an awesome thread (just do a search for it) a while back about baking on email and zip submits.

Umm yea. I own the network. Pretty darn sure.

Not to be a smartass, but as an affiliate, I could make you think i'm using PPC when i'm not. I do appreciate your answer though.

Yeah, I read his thread while back about polling. I might give that a try.

That's ok I didnt take it as a smart ass remark. You probably dont know me so that's cool. I certainly do have affiliates that promote email and even zip submits primarily thru PPC. I got no reason to lie and while I encourage my affiliates to hide their traffic sources and have helped them setup Prosper and Tracking 202 to not reveal stats thru networks, there have been times where I've been personally approached and asked to lend a hand. This means I've personally been in there accounts and have helped them. Sounds crazy doesnt it?

I wont name any of them but some are from this very forum. Oh and the kind of the biggest point I am trying to make is trying to get every cent I can to them so they can actually keep running the submits. I know that some of them need weekly payments to fund their cards and for me to take a chance and bear the risk of advertiser payments to us then passed to the publishers, you can be pretty well assured, I am aware of what's going on. I'm trying to be a smartass either, I'm just saying I know what goes down in my network.

Hit me up on AIM or something and we can chat about it. :rasta:

Ah ok, makes more sense now. I was wondering how you were so sure of their methods.

I will probably will hit you up. I have tons of capital and am ready to turn it into profit.

I recommend setting up a LP for an email submit where you also capture subscribers with an opt-in form. You probably won't make up the ppc costs on the front-end with that one offer, but you can make up for it (and then some!) on the back-end with your follow-ups. ;)

What do you guys think is a good max CPC for an email submit? I am thinking maybe like .05?

I have some hot keywords that weren't too popular before, and my QS is around 6/10. The LP is loaded with the right keywords and the right layout figures, and judging from my past QS, it should go up to around 8.

There is no competition, but adwords wants .30 minimum for frontpage on this keyword. Should I bite the bullet, bid .30, and allow it to lower as my QS goes up?
