What if someone finds my site, goes to eBay, and looks at a bunch of items in their chosen category (ie; iPhones). The initial click is stamped on a sunday at 7PM. They find a bunch of items, and actually bid on one item. This item goes to another bidder, so the person then bids on another item. Again, they loose the bid. Fast forward to three days later, and they actually win an action.
No credit for us the referrers, even thou we have:
1. Driven targetted traffic to eBay
2. Enticed the user to bid
3. They win an action and generate income for eBay
eBay's auctions last from 7 to 10 days. That's the nature of auctions. What your proposing with the 24 hours policy is an insult to the nature of what we've put energy into.
Credit us for what we deserve - not what makes more profit for eBay.
This affiliate program is just getting worse with each and every move. Why bother even running it anymore? I know a lot of publishers who have given up!
