So I work full time for J&J and one of the perks is that we get any prescription drugs made by J&J for free. While I wouldn't say that I have full blown ADHD, there are definitely times when I just can't focus at all. Constantly "multitasking" without a purpose. I've got a routine doctors appointment tomorrow so I figure I'll just tell the doctor that and ask for a prescription for concerta. I have my doubts he'll say no considering they gives out prescriptions to ADHD drugs like crazy now. And hey, if it doesn't work out, I'll just sell it off to one of you crazy kids haha

So you get free drugs and you aren't selling them? That's like infinity profit. What are you waiting on?

I wouldn't do that shit longterm if I was you unless you wanted to get dependent on it.

I started using it after ASE because I was having a seriously hard time being productive more than 9 hours a day.

I am taking 18mg and I can say it's working wonders. I can just zone in on what i'm doing, no little distractions that turn into 2 hour long breaks. I mean it's not a wonder drug like weed is, but it certainly has it's benefits.

Chris, unless you really need it, don't take prescription ADHD meds. Most are addictive and all of them will lose their ability to correct the root problem (ADHD). My son has severe ADHD and he is on his third prescription. Started with Adderall, that stopped being effective at around 1 year, switched to Concerta, that worked well for another year or so, now it's something else (can't remember).

Anyhow, point being, most ADHD meds are a type of amphetimine or related to amphetimines and once they lose effectiveness, upping the dosage won't help it will actually make the problem worse.

Just think really hard before you do it. If you have mild ADHD, often caffeine is enough of a stimulant to help control it.

Agreed with all those who advise you to be careful with adhd meds.

I don't want a prescription, but I buy few adderalls off a friend every once in a while to keep a small stock for those days when I have a deadline coming up and really need the help.

I don't have access to a bunch of them from my friend, so I can't waste them and don't take enough to get addicted.

Besides, weed solves most of my focus problems.

tried concerta....pretty intense. it was in college. i stayed up for over 24 hours. researched and wrote 30 pages of a research thesis. i think i took 35 mg or somewhere in there. it was definitely too much. idk if i'd recommend it for regular use to someone who didnt have trouble focusing.

like SEOMike said it can cause further problems. what you need to do is strengthen the ability to focus. it takes time and isnt easy but it can be done. look at ryan eagle. he works 18 hours a day with no supplement other than his drive to make money.

I was prescribed it and it's pretty heavy, gave me terrible jaw and neck pain after a while so I don't take it anymore. It's great for productivity through.
