My first website, created for me before I learned how to make my own. Got me sued by f0rd for copyright infringement. Profitable why it lasted but lawyers suck.

I tried that one too, with a blog. It tanked faster then a frat boy drinking from a bottomess keg. I thought for sure I would be able to sell the shit out of it, being an old school gamer and all, but it didn't happen.

Oh, and I can't seem to get resveratrol profitable for the life of me. Obviously search is difficult with $3.50+ clicks but even with a blog lander and all types of contextual/banner traffic it has been true pain in the ass. Now... an ad network I've used for a media buy can't even seem to get it there. Fucking conspiracy I swear. /rant

The whole FTC thing with weight loss blogs. I think partially avoid to not have to mess with FTC, partially avoid to not make the FTC get strict on what we can and cannot do.
Car Insurance leads, I will be back to try again in the future but for now I know only failure with them. The people I get to the page are just to damn lazy to fill out an entire quote.
Yeah you're right. The FTC means business. They can freeze bank accounts and sue you into poverty. On top of it, they may even get criminal law enforcement involved if you're doing anything remotely fraudulent.
Is making a few extra bucks now really worth the misery they can cause? It never is, even if you're making money now they'll catch up and destroy your life.
Don't mess with the Federal government. Just because you're an affiliate doesn't mean they won't go after you. They've gone after affiliates and contractors of all sorts before.

I know, and it's kind of a shame because they're really worthwhile offers. When I did one of these I got loads of competitive bids and my car insurance wound up costing hundreds less for the same coverage. I tend to avoid offers that require a lot of trouble from the customer because people are lazy.
Celebrity blogs. Learned way more than I wanted to about the perversions of the stars, but no money in it.
Adsense. Sucked at it then, no point to it now.
Selling anything into the hippie market - New Age, alternative health, etc. I know there are people who have money somewhere in there but all I ever got were the broke losers looking for bargains.
