Anyway to prevent lander theft?

'View Generated Source' defeats obfuscating HTML pages with javascript. Your best bet is to ban/redirect affiliate IPs.

To date only Firefox really does that, and Safari would need to use "Inspect Selection" which wouldn't exactly be copy/paste. And I've never seen the option in internet explorer short of trying to highlight a selection and view source. Most of the people who rip LPs are not that bright, or don't want to waste much time ripping them, which is the goal of the script I'm finishing up is for (prevent rippage from those folks).

I'm amazed I haven't been 'rolled yet.....

Thanks guys, ya I know the real solution is just more traffic and more campaigns. I'm still building.

Thanks.

fuck that, just redirect all visitors to makemoniesonline, problem solved.

Yeah, but there is a smaller market for people that want to steal sites that require more complex promotions.

On a more serious note from my last post, why not just watermark your images and call out the fakes in your copy to build your own credibility? Be like "Property of KevinHoffer.com"

because the site is a thick legit site pushing a combination of offers/products and filled with unique content/widgets/info (think Debt Consolidation - Bad Credit Debt Relief, Loans, Consolidate Debt - DebtHelp , bankrate/etc etc etc but not in the financial space), so watermarked images all over would look very odd.

I suppose only a complete toolbox rips off something like that and tries to throw it up and fast-follow w/ ads, however having never built something this 'large' in terms of the site it's a bit of a new area to me - historically i've been all thin LP's but trying to diversify with market condition changes that have occured in the last 90 days.

There is no way to do it as browser must parse and return source back to the client :D

no way. someone can just press the print screen button and have the design of your lander instantly.

Best thing to do is a stick a javascript include somewhere in the lander that looks like it's needed to make the lander work right.

A few people will be smart enough to take it out, but for the majority, it means you can wait til they steal it, then rewrite all of their aff links to send you their monies.

I solved this problem a long time ago. I just hired guards at the data center. Now, no one can steal my landing pages.
