The software is really cool shit though. It's a great brainstorming development sketchpad for both sides of the conversation

Pro Tip: use this for front end & bubbl.us for the backend sketchpad

yeah i bought it, it's good. but then i decided to work on a load of projects that have no GUI, so dchuk has my license now.

My old boss used to love basamiq, and wanted it to look EXACTLY like his mock up, trying to explain to him mock ups were a mockup, not an actual design were useless. So after much pain and custom controls I got it looking about 90% the same, only for him to change his mind on what he wanted it to look like, sigh

Someone (mattseh?) in a different thread recently recommended another similar service that looked really good. I didn't bookmark it. They represent some big brands.

I like Balsamiq and I also use Cacoo for the mockups I need accessible across many locations/platforms.

I downloaded Balsamiq yesterday after remembering reading this thread a while back, gotta say I absolutely love it. Really easy to use and makes for very fast wireframes. Saved me a ton of time giving my designer instructions. Thanks for pointing this out OP
