I recently redid my LP and Adwords campaign and my stats really started to takeoff and then... my ads stopped showing. It took me a couple days to figure it out because I didn't get any notifications telling me my ads are bad. I ran the Ad Diagnostics tool and it told me my bid prices were too low. I found out that it wasn't my campaign or my KW QS, but it was my LP QS.
I'm running a good quality bridge page with 2 affiliate links on it. I was making decent sales getting 8% CR with 3.5% CTR. I found out my LP QS was low because it was only a bridge page. I understand it's old news but why is Google making me build my site better when I was giving people what they wanted?
The reason I pay for advertising space is to make sales and if I'm doing just that why would I need to do anything different with my page. First of all my niche doesn't need a big site to make my sales and second, I'm afraid of diverting my customer somewhere other than my publisher's page.
In my opinion we're just going to clog the internet with more junk content that we don't need to be writing, and even that won't stop a manual reviewer from slapping your account if they don't like your website, which is happening everywhere.
--------
Anyway, I love Google's advertisement platform because I can perfectly tweak my campaign exactly how I want it and I can get the exact visitors I want to sell my product to.
I don't particularly like Yahoo or MSN. They both suck when trying to tweak campaigns and move data around. What is Yahoo up to they're not even doing shit lately are they? Their platform is struggling along with MSN trying to keep up.
So what do you think should I stop using Google for my traffic? I'm tired of jumping through hoops with them. I see a lot of marketers staying away from them.
