I have a niche that pays out very well and I can get good traffic to it. The problem is that no matter what template I use I only get 20% ctr. My templates on my other niches are all around or above 40%. Just wondering if anyone else has this problem on their niches.

i have wide spreads in ctr as well. some niche perform with e.g. 10%, others at 30% (which is my normal rate). rarely, on some days some niches are performing with 70%.

i guess a lot of factors contribute to this. e.g. the more specialised your niche is, the less distracted people will get by offers (ads) which are not 100% in line with their field of interest.

check yourself. for sure there is a topic, for which you are only willing to do a click if it really hits the spot. especially interests for a special kind of pet/animal e.g. if you are interested in a certain dog breed, you might not be willing to click on advertisements dealing with other dog breeds.

- Test and verify that relevant and targetted ads show up for that site
- Go through your keyword list and eliminate words that might bring in the "wrong crowd" traffic-wise.
- Try reverse-engineering your setup this way;
1) See what ads are displayed by Adsense
2) Find keywords targetted to those particular ads and add them your list

Templates are not the be all and end all of arbi performance.

Take a closer look at your ad copy and your content, especially if your templates work for you in other niches. There's some great advice in some of the older arbi threads about ad copy: promise something that your ads deliver and your content does not. (I think Jdog suggested that, but I'm not positive.)
