What's up gang? I have the three following SEO plugins installed on my WP sites. They are Wordpress SEO, Headspace 2, and All In One SEO Pack. Is it beneficial to run multiple SEO Plugins? I usually fill them with the same text.

One benefit is that All In One SEO pack has a field for keywords whereas the others do not...just getting people's opinions. What plugins do you use? Do you run multiple?

Plugins aren't beneficial if they're all overlapping each other, it's pointless. Before settling on either HS2 or AIO I'd try SEO Ultimate, it has pretty much everything you'll need SEO wise and it gets updated regularly.

Having used AIO for years I'm now an Ultimate convert.

Yoast SEO has a nice feature where you can set the ROBOTS meta tag on any individual page/post/etc. Post PANDA, that can be helpful to reduce the amount of "low quality content" on your site, like, for example, keeping your "T&C's" or "Contact US" pages from being indexed. Some other cool features:

- creates sitemaps, so you don't have to install a separate plugin to do so.
- strips dates out of meta descriptions on posts
- built in editor for robots.txt and .htaccess files
- built in "keyword finder" that pulls keywords based on page/post content

This is somewhat related...does anyone have any experience with the "easy adsense" plugin? I'm looking for a way to insert adsense code into multiple posts quickly and easily, and handle the formatting etc.

I use easy seo which has some Nice features like adds kw to alt tag, and u can change the perimeters of what you are looking for.

Wordpress is actually fairly good SEO wise out of the box.

I also don't see the benefit in hiding things like your Contact, TOS, and Privacy Policy. In fact I've read quite the opposite in that those pages are important for Google to see your site as a real site. You want to highlight the fact that you have a contact page and a privacy policy.

Just pick one. Personally I think Wordpress SEO by Yoast is 10x better than the other two you listed. And if you check the box by "use meta keywords tag," guess what happens? It then has a keywords field!

I've tried it before but mainly I use the "Quick Adsense" plugin now. It's pretty slick.

I use all in one seo but may go to Ultimate. I tried it out and like how much control it offers

Thanks for all the tips guys. It's been a couple of weeks. Just moved so it's been a bit crazy. This is great. I think Telva and Elvis are right. Yoast's plugin is far supreme to the others I've been using and seems to be an oft mentioned one on WF. I actually think Elvis mentioned it to me in another thread.

I would think downloading mutliple SEO plugins is counterproductive and a waste of time since they basically do the same thing except Yoast's is much better. I think I'm going to roll with just that one for now and see how it pans out.

The more plugins the better. Google wants to see that you've installed every free plugin available in the repository, otherwise your site is untrustworthy.
