ARMED CHINESE TROOPS LAND ON TEXAS COAST

We're good at manipulating the world into going along with us. Something the Chinese haven't figured out yet. That's one of the reasons i don't like the comparison.

I think the comparison is fine. You could insert any country's name instead of China and it'd work just fine to prove the point they're trying to make. Whether or not a certain country possesses the ability to occupy Texas is just being unnecessarily nitpicky of the video.

This is probably true. Maybe I just don't like propaganda films in general i guess.

Just to me I don't see Iraq and Afghanistan on the same equal footing with the CONUS for a LOT of reasons (and not in a we're better, 'Murica fuck ya! sorta way). So I don't like the comparison.

I don't agree with the comparison either because it's very simplistic. It doesn't take into account the swell of Iraqis who, at least in theory, believe in the idea of democracy and freedom that the US espouses, at least in part.

It also doesn't take into account the fact that the Iraqis despise Saddam Hussein and masturbated to fantasies of his downfall in a very real way. Americans don't feel that way about their government.

China needs the US more than the US needs China.

If we stopped importing all goods from China we could easily import them from other countries and/or bring manufacturing and textile jobs back home. Worst case scenario, prices go up a little, but so does employment. We could also tell China to get fucked on all the debt they hold - what are they gonna do about it?

On the other hand, if we stopped importing all this bullshit from China half their country starves and their economy collapses, so who really has the upper hand?

Exactly, our nation imports a large percentage of the goods exported by China, and if our nation were to fail, than China would fail. We definitely have the upper hand.

With the rapid rise of other countries like Brazil and India, who says they can't replace us?

On the flip side, China could dump 1 trillion dollars of US Treasury Bills onto the open market tomorrow, sending huge shock waves throughout the global economy, and plummeting the value of the USD.

It's a globalized economy, and we all need each other. Wouldn't be quick to get pompous and say China needs the US more, or vice versa.
