ASE Should I attend?

Being a Newb in the world of BH and affiliate marketing, (up to now just use Adsense on my WH sites) Should I attend the Affiliate Summit in Miami this summer? Seeing that I live here, thought I might give it a go.

What have other people's experience been at these events?

If its just to hear people who like hearing themselves speak, I'll stay home. But from what I have gathered, the owner of this site attended one of these so it can't be all that bad?

since you live there I'd say yes it's probably a good idea. The sessions suck in my opinion and unless you have a decent amount of traffic the show itself is probably a waste. It's just a bunch of people saying "Send me your traffic we can do everything better then the person you're using now!"

However the best part is the networking and meeting the people that post on this board and know about what you do. You mentioned BH and well in my opinion there was only a few people that I could find in the whole place that could tell you what blackhat was.

So in short I'd suggest going to the parties and forgetting the show if you're new.

Cool, I'm always good for a party. I figured the socializing aspect of it was the best part to network.

Sounded to me like the best part was all the partying plus the fact it was in Vegas. Since this one is not in Vegas, it'll probably be only half as good

True. Miami isn't Vegas that's for sure. But Miami does have an awesome night club scene. Even though it's nothing like the Vegas strip it will hold it's own. But Miami does have beautiful beaches. And more importantly hot babes (many even topless) in those beaches.

I look forward to seing all you fuckers at ASE.
