It’s important to note that Ashley Madison’s sign-up process does not require verification of an email address to set up an account, so legitimate addresses might have been hijacked and used by some members of the site. One email in the data dump, for example, appears to belong to former UK Prime Minister (Tony Blair).

Currently, there's a couple of (unfortunately just) brief excerpts on pastebin - easily found - including email addresses from the Vatican ! :eek7:

At least they were using BCrypt with a workfactor of 12 and not MD5 to hash passwords.
 
Seeing as he's back again, I think I speak for WF when I say we need teguh's opinion on the whole thing. From cheating in general, to the leak and what it means.
