So I just registered for ASW in Vegas. I'm pretty excited since this will be my first one. I wanted to stay on top of it this year because I always procrastinate and never end up going.

I was checking out the ASW Conference details today and realized it was the early bird deadline today. I thought to myself, "shit yeah, just made it!" Well turns out, they still charged me for the "After October 5th" price for my individual pass...that bites!

I need to give them a call since my receipt says payment and registration were both on October 5th. Let this be a lesson to the newbies out there, if your planning on going, be on top of it now eventhough it's in Jan.

If your quick, you can proabably still make it today...they'll probably charge you for after the 5th price, but i'm sure you'll be able to hit them up for the difference.

I'm sure there will be a free pass offered for just the Exhibit hall, and honestly that's all you need. I spent only a couple hours total between he meet and greet and the Exhibit hall at ASE. Really not all that exciting, in fact theirs lots of idiots running around. You go to meet up with people, network, and of course PARTY YOUR ASS OFF.

PARTY YOUR ASS OFF.

This is what makes tradeshows and conferences valuable to vendors. Not the shitty seminars with hotel coffee, not the stuffy exhibit halls with hotties behind the tables, but the BOOZE, BROADS, and BLOW.

All exhibit halls really do is offer a platform for companies to show off their new Featherlites anyway. Fuck em.

This Summer Shawn C. had a one-day free pass giveaway, I hope he does it again.

WOLFE & RAGE-

all good points. The networking is really the main reason I'm going. Since I've never been, thought I would experience at least the exhibit hall and meet once.

BTW, I sent an email about the overcharging last night and they already responded with refunding me the difference.

About Shawn C. and his crew, do never test them for quality, they're one of the most organized and proactive conference organizers I've ever seen and I've been to literally 100+ conferences/tradeshows.

Just make sure you take the cell numbers of all your friends, worst thing in the world is to be back at your hotel by midnight and have no clue where anyone is.

I'm looking forward to my first Affiliate Summit(and I do like to drink).

How far in advance are you booking your hotel room? Is that something I should be doing now?

Book it if you want, try and get in at the Rio It'll make it easier on yourself. I know they are running a group rate so you'll probably actually have to call the hotel to get the rate. Just a guess though, don't know if you can do it online.

This may help:

Hotel Reservations:
Affiliate Summit has reserved blocked space at the Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas at a special conference rate of $159 per night (plus tax and service). Blocked space is limited so reserve your room today. Call 702-777-7777 and ask for the Affiliate Summit rate or to book online click here: Online Reservations.

I hope to be at ASW (kind of attached at the boob at the moment) but if not, should be at ASE.

Anyone heard from my roomie Laura? Haven't seen her around in a while...
