For an everyday car, gotta pick the M3. It's a practical supercar.

For a 3rd, 4th, 5th car... 911 turbo would be pretty sweet, or the new skyline.

what about that new hyundai they had advertised during the superbowl. I think they said it had something like 375 horses, which sounded pretty unrealistic.

for me I'd have to go with the audi, although the audio sounds like a sweet car :)

I actually just read the new Robb Report the other day where they compared a bunch of exotic cars, including all of the above, and the Audi beat everything. The 911 was second or third or something like that though and everyone had good stuff to say about it.

I'm still not sure if I'd go with the R8 or the 911 though. I'd rather have a Ferrari.

I like them all and it would be tough. But I think i would go with the Porsche. It'd make a great daily as well as track car.

porsche.

the audi surely is a nice piece of technology, but imho nothing compares to the real thing.

the m3 is a nice toy too but too common and has no individual style.

I'll take a 911 over the other any day of the week. I've driven the new bmw's and while a great car they have numbed the road experience. The new M3 is really too heavy now. The audi is a freak machine, in 3 years people will say wtf was that? The 911 is a classic and always remain that ways. Once you have driven a 911 you cannot believe how precise the car really is, everything from the steering, clutch, shifting, and feel on the road is a freaking thrill and that GT3 would be one scary beast..

Not sure why people like those BMWs that much, personally I think they're ugly for a sport car and where I live every dope dealing junky has one.

For looks, I'd choose Porsche hands down.

GT3.

the audi sexy. low, wide, and powerful, but from the Top Gear video, it seemed way too quiet and numbed-down in terms of driver feel. the 911 is a drivers car.

not to mention the superficial reason: Porsche is a classier brand than Audi.

Neither the M3 or the Audi can beat the Porsche in a straight line, however the Audi has been said to outhandle the 911 TT on the track. The writers are all saying that when they tested the Audi in Italy (Modena, Maranello, etc), the car got WAY more look from bystanders than the Ferraris and Lambos (indigenous species in those parts). That definitely says something...

I had an M3 circa 1998 and it was a great commuter car, but nothing... in my mind... will ever come close to competing with the Porsche. Of course, I am quite biased since I own 2 of them (plus a Mercedes, plus a Chevy Tahoe for pulling the toys...).

But... the Poll says the GT3? That's a cheap Turbo! I would save up a few shekels and take the 911 TT over the GT3 in a heartbeat.

But... the GT2 is the REAL supercar. Ridiculous horsepower (530), 2 wheel drive, crazy fast (200mph +)... but too bad they will only be importing a few to the US this year.

If you think I'm full of shit (it's okay, a lot of people do but I could care less) feel free to have a look around my garage at 5minute minisites, five minute website,5 minute mini,5mini...

Audi R8 for every day driving or better yet an S5

Porsche's are too harsh for daily driving. The M3 is too boring IMO (looks like every other BMW)
