Another Melbournite here. But I'll be in Sydney for ad:tech so count me in for that one. Which night do Viva9 normally have their party?
cant remember for sure, but I think it was the second night, straight after Adtech finished, at that little boutique brewery between the Chinese gardens and the Entertainment Centre in Darling Harbour.

Dispel: Country wide tour would be awesome. We could get a bus and stop at weird breweries along the way, like Grand Ridge (the waitresses there are amazingly easy)!
But something tells me that's not happening...
ha, I love a good road trip! I've definitely considered grabbing my laptop and working on the road for a couple of months. Maybe heading up to Cairns or something.. usually around this time of the year I either drive up to Byron Bay or down to Melbourne and back.

The meetup202 guy has been incredible slow getting anything done. I've waited for 2 months for him to make an announcement. After countless emails, several aim chats, bunch of paperwork and a webinar apparently its ready to go. Although not ready enough - just in the last week he was going to make the announcement 'today" 3 times already - still waiting.
Anyway, shits going ahead, come along and we'll discuss where we want to go with this. Some interesting developments is that the Meetup202 guys have organized an online resource for newbies (so they'll waste less time at the actual meetups) and even have some presentations on various topics people can use and a bunch of other stuff. Its all brand new, so no feedback yet, but the potential is definitely there. There will be guest speakers, drunk nerds and strippers to look forward to.

I just got the announcement. I'm coming up from Melbourne for ad:tech so I will be there. It is on the Tuesday night right? The invite mentions Tuesday and the "second day of ad:tech" but I think this is the first of the two days. Tuesday is good for me, I'll be gone by Wednesday night.

I put it on the Wednesday because on Tuesday Ad:tech are doing their own after party, which is actually at the same place and at the same time. Didn't want to clash.

This Sydney meetup was a success. There was a good turnout of affiliates.
