I thought this was a pretty cool example of leadership. A light at a busy intersection goes out in Toronto, and this pedestrian jumps in to direct traffic.

How hard can it be to tame Canadians? In Mexico they'd run him over, back up, run him over again, get out of their cars, steal his shoes and then run the red light.
 
When I was in Tunis once, I almost ran over a female cop who was directing traffic while intelligently wearing a beige and brown camouflage uniform that melted into the bushes and trees on the side of the road quite perfectly. Plus, there was so much going on and so many people just walking/standing/sitting in the middle of the busiest streets, it was insane. She nearly blew her head off on that whistle of hers until I finally saw her.
