This video cleared up all the questions I had about the penguin updates and gives everyone a clear blueprint going forward. The days of keyword stuffing, spun content, and SEO are over. Hopefully there will be some strong new WSOs that will help us take our rightful place back in the SERP and beat Google again!

I was so excited I forgot the video LOL!

I don't agree with this reasoning all the way through, but his conclusions are pretty sound.

What he is leading to is basically what I cover in my webinars.

As a rookie marketer, I got the gist of what he was trying to say. But I didn't actually get any helpful hints from the video.

What he's saying makes sense. We NEED to create businesses that don't depending entirely on search traffic. Of course he kept saying this for nearly 10 minutes. In the rest of the 4 minutes where he claims to tell us 'how' to do this, he didn't really say anything readily applicable.

In a way, I felt like it was an indirect pitch of Link Liberation.

Besides the fact this looks like it was filmed on a camera phone and could've easily been done in 4 minutes if he stopped repeating himself, the overall message is one that everybody who's been slapped around by G recently already knows - people need to stop relying on Google as the primary source of traffic if they want longevity.

I also don't agree with his concept that PPC is parasitic and Google's way of profiting off webmaster's content - it's the other way around. SEOers are the parasites in this scenario, trying to feed off the constant flow of traffic coming to Google. That traffic will still come to Google if your site isn't there. Google can survive without SEO, SEOers can't survive without search rankings.

I think it is interesting that most of the comments in this thread are from people who, afaik, have never publicly produced any content, and yet they are criticizing the production value of the video.

Also interesting how little the comments focus on the content, which wasn't great but certainly wasn't bad.

He calls PPC a parasite. In what way is that sound logic?

It is amazing how you can quote me, without reading what I wrote, considering it was pretty succinct and clear.

The PPC concept is interesting, and sort of accurate from the standpoint of a non-Adsense publisher, as yes, if there was no content to index for a keyword there'd be no SERP and thus no ad units. For an Adsense publisher Adwords is an indirect driver of what advertisers pay on the content network, so it comes out in the wash.

The cynic in me says it was a warriorforumed guru-lickspittle presentation that could have conveyed its inforamtion in about 90 seconds, but the cynic in me says Vince Offer just does the same pitch every guy does for ASOTV's at homeshows, sometimes you have to enjoy the ride.
