And an even bigger idiot for thinking that Alex (co-founder of AzoogleAds) in this picture next to Shoemoney is me.
I'm sure they'll do more than that if chow can sort out which of shoemoneys skin flaps does what.
Well, interestingly enough, I didn't know Shoemoney would be there until maybe 2 hours before the office part started, which I didn't make it to, because starting at 4pm was WAY too early for me. But I did show up to the bar part of it at around 630'ish. I only found out just yesterday from Volk's blog that other people knew in advance that Shoe and I were going to be there, and that it was being used as an incentive to show up. From a marketing standpoint, I have to say, that was a very creative and smart tactic on AzoogleAds's part to use. Either way, I had fun there.
Anyway, Alex had been asking me to "let it go" between me and Shoemoney. So I gave in and agreed to sit down with Jeremy and talk it out. We both spoke about our differences, and agreed to leave off on neutral/good terms rather than hating one another and settle everything at a different time, when he would be sober.
I don't have to post about this, but will because it's only fair that people know the truth. Alex was more like the mediator for it, to make sure things didn't get out of hand, as he knew I was NOT up for the discussion in the first place. But, I can't hold a grudge on someone, especially after he admitted that the C&D was a really foolish move and regretted doing it. Yeah, we all went out afterwards with a bunch of people and had lots of fun just hanging out and shooting the shit. Even so, the chat we had was to try and come to a mutual agreement on how to exist in the industry without butting heads or going to war again, so we've both agreed to try and work it out. If anyone says differently, don't believe them, because they weren't fucking there in the conversation. For all you know, we could have been discussing the correct way on how to build a doll house.
So that's two people on this thread, that obviously joined WF just to voice something that they know nothing about, and may cause a rocky neutrality agreement to fail.
Until the day comes that you get C&D's every week from pissed off ebook authors or lawsuits from scumbag ad networks trying to shut you and all of the other little guys up, then you can have the right to blog or post about some type of war between people, but until that day comes, you're just another dipshit who is playing a game of telephone and posting about stuff you are totally wrong about. So if anyone is going to come out and say I'm a drama queen, an asshole, someone that's full of himself, or whatever else people seem to dub me as before they know the facts, by all means, you tell me your info, and I'll be sure to let their lawyers know that you want to stand up for yourself and don't want to be covered by us. I doubt they will have an issue with going after you as well, and for us, that will be just one more selfish prick that we won't have to help.
I actually joined before, i just never posted. I never knew that people we so sensitive here... i gotta admit... it was just a joke
