Was just replying to another finance related thread and remembered a conversation with my banker today. Starting in July, Bank of America is going to be launching self-serve wire functionality from within their online banking system. Figured there's gotta be some other BoA customers on WF that might be as happy as I am.

Unless... this is already offered at other banks and I've been with the wrong bank for years?

awesome. I doubt I will use it though unless they drop the $25 fee for outgoing wires though.

They've actually already opened it up to business account holders who send 10? wires or more a month. You actually get a lower fee per wire (I can't remember the exact rate). I just signed up today.

My other bank takes wire requests over the phone.

Thank god! As far as I know the only other bank that let you do them 100% online was citi bank but eh, that feature isn't worth the risk of parking your money there IMO.

How do you sign up for online wires on BOA? Just call them up?

that's fucking awesome. i use shitzen's right now and im thinking more and more that bank of america has better options/service, etc. but could be wrong. im moving to hawaii/business there so i'll have to see what i can do as far as remote stuff as BOA doesnt haven any locations there.
