I remember hearing somewhere a while back that Nike was planning a mass-market (non limited edition) version of this shoe to be released in around 2 years. Is there any truth to this, does anyone know?

Nike has a patent for power lacing shoes, and in the promotional video for these eBay versions (featuring Doc Brown) one of the shoe store guys states that power-lacing will be available in 2015. My guess is that's what Nike is waiting for.
