A few months ago I started a thread weighing the pros and cons on doing this:
I spent 2 months partying like a rockstar, destroying my body, enhancing my mind, macking fly girls, and letting my business go to shit.
I can honestly say I packed in more life experience in those 2 months then I did in the previous 10 years of my life. I would take about 2 hours every other day or so and go hit up a cafe and try to do some maintenance work on my websites. It was tough though. I was usually so sleep deprived and hungover that I would literally feel mentally retarded sitting down in front of a computer and trying to accomplish a task. I learned to prioritize the things that absolutely needed to get done and push aside the bullshit. Getting good at this is a valuable skill and takes some practice.
Guess what? When I got back, it took about 3 weeks to pick up the pieces, and now I am back to business as usual. I probably missed a few opportunities and missed out on a bit of progress, but fuck it. It makes me wonder how much I am just spinning my wheels during my average "work day".
Moral of the story, do something crazy, get off your computer.
So I did it. When I first arrived, I was informed that we were being filmed for a television pilot about the crazy lifestyle me and my friends lead. That was an interesting twist."At this critical time in my smut peddling career, I recently had an opportunity come up. I have a childhood friend that built a pretty interesting life and business for himself. Basically, he puts on music festivals in exotic locales, and he wants a wingman to travel with him and assist during peak season.
Basically the job is an all expense paid 2 month tropical vacation partying like a rockstar in the most literal possible interpretation.
I will probably have limited access to a computer, and constant distraction. I keep telling myself I will be able to find the discipline to put in a few hours everyday, but boy will it be difficult. From a pure business sense, it is definitely a stupid move.
I'm faced with quite the predicament.
Can't get over that nagging feeling of how much progress I could be missing out on by essentially taking two months off at this critical moment.
Having the ability to do stuff like this is the whole reason I got into this game, but I guess my priorities have started to change.
What to do what to do"
