None of my backlinks are showing up in google webmaster tools. I should have well over 20, but none are showing up. Got any ideas? Does this stuff just take time?

GWT tends not to show only the strongest of backlinks, these are links to your site on pages that are linked to frequently by other sites.
Keep building and fake "naturally" as much as possible, the rankings and payoff will come.

Can take a little time to get links to show up in GWT. You can also use ahrefs to have another look at your links.
Why do you want to see them in Google's crappy tool?
Do you think that would validate them? Make them better?

Google does not rank sites based on links in gwt.
If you know they exist, move on, don't waste your time looking at them.
Some guys spend more time looking for their own backlinks in this tool
or that tool than they spend on marketing, ideas, and strategies!
