Backlinks vs Content

Everyone says content, but, here's the thing...
Googlebot can't read! (yet) It can see words, but it can't comprehend writing, not like a human.
Googlebot can't discern between crap and quality content aside from duplication. This is why they have teams of manual reviewers.
And, is why keywords are still a dominant element in search rankings.
Until Googlebot can actually read, like a human, the technical side will always be more important (i.e. backlinks, etc)

Backlinks are considered the People who gives taxes to the king (just something I came up with just now

So will The king survive without the Taxes? simple answer NO!
Content is what google is looking for at this time but what if your site has all the unique super content but no backlinks? there's nowhere to go with that..

What do you guys think is more important for baking a cake: flour or sugar? I'm new to cooking and I just want to know what I should focus at! I would like to know, if you had an amount of money, in which of the two options would you invest more? Thanks in advance, by the way, great forum!
content along with an exact match domain will turn you into this guy...
But my experience with EMD+ content without backlinks are totally negative, that's why I voted backlinks, Guys you know i m running a blog with EMD 3 or 4 Fresh Human content in a month and its now almost 6 months & nearby 40 Posts yet. But traffic Ratio is 3 to 5 visit per day. lolx i got few comments on WP dashboard that.
& few commented if you want traffic, visits bla bla then contact us we're marketers lolx of course i didn't approve their comments. but the point is that backlinks are needed no doubt if you ask me I vote again to backlinks.
This is atypical question because both are more important. but one can even manage with moderate contents but without backlink it is not possible

I say content is important but backlinks are just as important if not slightly more important.
They must go hand in hand. Its like have a business. The content is the building/employees/you and the backlinks are the marketing tool that allows you to make money and become a profitable business.
If you don't have both...you won't get anywhere.

But without valuable backlinks , content is less value than the actual.
I think both are important but pay more on unique and helpful content.

Both are important..the content will help your site in getting indexed and get traffic or rank, and the backlink will strengthen the site..it's mean both are important.
backlink and content are important, because backlink without content tha's will be useless, so both can't be a parted...
