Bad Ass Luxury Sedan...

Oh its a luxury sedan.. it just doesn't have room for whiny kids and or non hot wife / girlfriend and that's a priceless feature that many people don't see right away.

so you cram 4 hot girls in the 4 door, I see nothing wrong with this

There's a lot of BMW fans here. Don't like them myself. Can't stand brash, big-watch baller looking shit. BMWs are the epitome of everything I hate about wannabes and people who think they're the shit.

The LSA in the 2nd Gen CTS-V is essentially a detuned LS9 from the ZR-1. The only real differences are the supercharger's displacement and other internals, but essentially, you have an amazing looking 4 door Corvette. Watch out for Hennessy though, there was a huge scandal a few years ago where he was basically collecting money and stiffing people and some other shady practices. Mallet used to do work on Cadillacs, and Callaway does Corvettes, so they're extremely familiar with the LSx engines.

If you want a car that you can see at every stop light, buy a BMW. If you want a bad ass, exclusive car you won't see a lot, buy a Jaguar XFR. If you want an edgy looking box, buy a caddy. If you want something overpriced, buy a Mercedes.

I honestly would go look at them all and decided for yourself.

i've always felt jag stopped making good/cool cars after the E-type years but man that thing is fucking sick.

as far as the caddy i think the new newest ones look miles better than the early years and for the price of a used one thats a lot of bang for your buck. the M5 would be more cool but your looking at a whole different price range.

The E class AMG's could give you a lot for the money too (if you buy one a few years old) and they have cool but understated looks. My old roommate used to work for a benz dealership as a parts guy and it was just sickening what maintenance and repairs are on those things. I think thats the biggest downside to a Benz or BMW but you get that with any luxury brand.

gotta pay to play. People buy AMGS that have an original sticker price of 85-90K and then complain when the maintenance isn't that of a Honda.

oh no doubt.. what i found most amusing was the amount of people who buy a base C-class to "join the club" which isn't much more luxury than a loaded camry and then would have a stroke when they realize that broken side mirror was gonna be $600 just for the glass lol

who makes the most reliable/ low maintenance german car? I have audi and that thing aint reliable and needs to be pampered. How are BMWs? i heard the engines are strong as hell

I haven't owned a Mercedes since my '03 G-Wagen, but isn't regular maintenance still covered under warranty for 4 years/50k miles? Out of warranty maintenance wasn't that bad, something like $500-600 a year. Maintenance is only a big deal if you get unlucky. I traded the truck in, and a few weeks later my dealer told me some part had a major failure to the tune of $5-7k. Heh.

What year is your car? My audi drives perfectly.

I've been thinking about buying a CTS. I don't need the fancy performance CTS-V, just the standard is fine with me. I'm not huge into cars, I just like the way the CTS looks.

Also, I've driven most of the different brands of luxury cars out there, and Cadillacs in my opinion are consistently the most comfortable. That's the most important thing to me.

Plus I should buy American to offset all the outsourcing money I send overseas, rite?

I've owned a CTS-V since 2006 and I love it. It beats everything else BY FAR in the same price range. It has everything you want, looks - power - luxury, and it's a 6-speed manual which adds an extra "wtf?" to the mix. The new ones don't LOOK nearly as good as the old model in my opinion and I don't think they have the manual transmission.
