This site (and other sites like it) doesn't show up in Google and therefore doesn't get any traffic from Google. Yahoo and Live are fine though. Is the site banned on Google and if so, why, or better still, what can I do to correct the problem?

Your a douchebag... there is basically no content on your site and you expect to get high rankings on google...:error:

I didn't say I'm expecting high rankings. The site isn't listed at all, which makes me believe it's banned and I'm wondering if that's the case and what I can do to change it.

increase your content, it'll increase the chances of google picking up a page and spidering it through

right now your page is pretty much too small and consists of 2 adsense ads taking quite a bit of space relative to your content that why should google even care to index you?

Doing a little bit of very quick detective work, it looks like the domain name was banned previously.

Don't 100% take my word for it, but it could still be the case.

I've got a question. Instead of opening a new thread, I'll just use this one.

I'm considering buying a relatively old domain (about 8 years). From what I can tell (wayback) there has never been content on it (and therefore it is not indexed in G).

So, to the more experienced domainers, what methods do you use to check to be sure an older domain hasn't been banned?
