Web Design with wordpress, need some good tutorials....?

Im designing a basic site and as im not tech savey I have decided to use wordpress which seems very user friendly. However it is mainly for blogs but can be used for regular sites...does anyone know where i might get a good step-by-step tutorial for this (some of them can be hard to follow)...better again a link to a video tutorial would be perfect...Please help
