Hey guys, some of you may remember me from when I offered my design services on WickedFire. I've caught the entrepreneurial bug since and have been out hustling on my own projects, so thanks to all my old friends and clients from WF who taught me some things and helped fund a couple projects!
A few days ago I launched FriendFury as a tool for Twitter users to make new friends/contacts who share the same interests. It's simple to use, as well as free. Log in, choose which topics you care about, and you'll randomly be shown similar-minded users.
It's different from sites like Twiends because we don't offer incentives to follow someone, so your new followers will be people you can actually engage with and foster a developing relationship. For some people and some businesses this can be extremely valuable in building a brand, and I know WF tends to share the attitude that having tons of followers for the sake of having tons of followers is useless and lowers the value of networks like Twitter.
In case I didn't make it obvious enough, FriendFury is NOT a tool to get mass Twitter friends; it helps you make targeted friends.
Anyway, I'm willing to hand out a few free feature placements to WF members because I love this community and giving back is important. You'll need to log in and use the site a bit so your @name and topics register in the database—leave a comment here if you'd like one! If you're interested in paying for a featured spot, I would honestly recommend you hold off for a little while to let the site grow. We're pretty strict on spammers as well, so if you have a few affiliate link spamming accounts, I'd recommend you use a different service.
