I'm going to be developing a video game store within the next few months and i was wondering which is the best cart to use, im thinking cube cart, but i want a more SEO compatible cart like wordpress has anyone got any recommendations?

I have been looking at x-cart.com. It supports payment by Paypal, 2CO, Worldpay, Google Checkout.
Cubecart is also good.

I'd personally recommend VirtueMart(with Joomla).
I've tried the others & have gone exclusively with VM for the past couple years.
Magenta is another free, Open Source cart system I would like to try because of the numerous options available, but as it is still in its' infancy, I will wait until the builds are more stable.
Right now, I don't believe this is suitable for "live" sites.

Magento has the potential to be the Wordpress of carts, but damn it's slow as hell
and just not where it needs to be as of yet...I have used a few carts, and end up using CRE Loaded now for every client who needs a cart. I f-ing hate the fact that all the carts suck for one reason or another but CRE is the best out there overall.
