Kansas City is up-and-coming. Google Fiber launched there a year ago, cheap costs, solid midwestern peeps and U of Kansas is 45 minutes away.

So much this. Most business live and die by relationships. Who you know can go along way. Starting a business is hard to begin with. Starting a business without a network of people to help you along the way significantly increases your odds of failure.
