I'm sure a lot of you spend a bit on adwords, I was just asking for advice..

I'm spending about $600 USD a day on adwords and wanted to see which credit card would give me back something that I can actually use.

Are the cards that give you a percentage of your spend worth it? Is it a percentage of every single charge to the card or is it annually?

What about the frequent flyer cards, there is a card in Australia associated with Qantas that gives you 1.5 Points per $1 spent on anything.

Does anybody have a frequent flyer card. What are the pros & cons.

I would love to hear what everybody is doing.

Thanks

I do not stay in your side of the world. But here, what ever i spend on my CC. I get reward points n yea i use them for getting free fuel, gifts etc. This is one of the main reason why i use my CC all the time n every where.

Sorry,
I don't know how somebody can be hired to do posts here.
I'm actually only 17 years old, trying to learn new things from a community.

Why would somebody be paid to post here?

if you got the jetblue amex card you would basically get a free round trip ticket anywhere jetblue goes every month with that spending. The card has a $40/yr fee.

American Express Plum is the best card you can have, with 2% cash back on everything(my free car) plus 5% for YSM for up to $500(my free playstation 3):D

So you get 2% back from every single charge to the card?
Unlimited per year? Can I spend 600 a day for the entire year and i'll get 2 % off?

I am 17, but I would get my Father to get it for me, create a 2nd card for me, and it would work like a charm. lol

Starwood Amex.

If you're spending $600 a day, that means every 5 days ($3000) you'll be eligible for a free hotel room in one of their basic hotels. $10,000 spend will get you in just about any other hotel.

You can also cash in the points for Amazon gift cards at a better then 1:1 basis (14,000 points for $150).

And... they just launched a Starwood Flights program. 15,000 points for a flight from New York to Orlando. 40,000 for NY to Vegas.

I'm a Starwood junkie.

Is the Plum card available for Canadians?

Right now I've got a Gold Elite from Visa - 1% cashback (unlimited cap) $99/year fee.

If your in Canada right depends which bank your with. There isnt that many banks offering such good rewards for USD cards. I do know that CIBC doesnt offer any sort of rewards for USD, cuz they think you are already profitting from not paying the exchange rates. Im gonna go for BMO when i hit 19, I believe they're doing 1% cashbacks and 2% for a $99 year fee. And obviously theres also airmiles. Not sure any other CC in Canada, if theres a good one please suggest it here.

Starwood AMEX, hands down. They treat you like you're a paying guest. No blackout dates at all if they have a room available they'll give it to you.

We just scheduled a vacation between xmas and nye in Whistler Canada as the ski in ski out Westin. If you look it up online it's $999 a night. We booked 7 nights during the busiest time of the year for 10k points a night. That's a $7,000 value for free. Then we took some points and converted them to delta and got two free tickets from San Diego to Whistler, which costs close to $1,500 in that time frame. So all together a $10,000 vacation for nothing. Can't complain about that. Starwood is super helpful getting your iteneraries you want and treat you like you're a paying guest. Also, you get the 5% cash back from YSM for any amext card I'm pretty sure, I know you get it with the Starwood as well as the plum. Personally if they offered the coveted "black" card I'd stick with the Starwoods.

Is this avaliable in Australia? It sounds like heaven.
How many points do you get per dollar.

You can spend as much as you want, there is no limit on the card, and you will get 2% cash back. So, with $18k spend a month you will get a nice $360 back. That's a car payment for a nice car:)
The card was limited to 10000 peaces. I don't know if it still is.

Think it would be possible for someone about to turn 18 (hence no credit, minus having a checking account, which I think gets me something) to get the Starwoods card?

You could get your parents to co-sign a card under you.

Or you could work on slowly building your credit. Get one of those credit cards for college kids and start paying your own cell phone bill.
