Best Fiction Book You've Ever Read

Lolita.

Also going to read The Girl Next Door (Ketchum). Seen the film, but apparently the book's meant to scar you for life. Based on true story, bro.

I like most everything Stephen King ever wrote but specifically;
The Stand
The Dark Tower (series of 6 or 7 books)

for classics,
Uncle Toms Cabin
Les Meserables

Revelation Space series was great.

Also the Culture novels by Banks.
"All tomorrows parties" - William Gibson

For noir science fiction, try Richard Morgan - The Takeshi Kovacs Novels
"Altered Carbon"
"Woken Furies"
"Broken Angels"

"The Stranger", by Max Frei

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe - Douglas Adams
Ishmael - Daniel Quinn
Legend of Drizzt Series - R.A. Salvatore
Templar Trilogy - Jack Whyte
The Alchemist - Paulo Coelho

I'm glad someone mentioned Enders Game, that was my book growing up!

I just started reading starship troopers, never even knew it was a book. written in 1959 it is considered on of the 100 best works of fiction in the last 100 years. I don't know what they hell they did with the movie because the book is completely different and is insane for being written in 59! really good.
