What's your take on cell phones or smart phones for this industry.

Affiliate and online marketers as a whole ( if different, please provide a model for both ).

Phone model and also features most used or preferred.

The Iphone is nice but i hear many people say that "it's not a business phone" and that you should get a BB Pearl. Maybe those are just haters, I wonder. I mean what do you need other than a decent browser to check how much you made while you were fucking your gf's brains out.

I'm thinking of getting the htc touch dual. It should be available by the end of november. It has gprs and umts support, a 400mhz processor with windows mobile 6 pro. The strange thing about it is that the japanese version has wifi and the european/american does not which is a shame ...

Stick with the Blackberry Curve or Blackberry 8830. No phones will be able to compete with these two when it comes to running a serious business.

HTC Kaiser or AT&T Tilt (same phone). 3G/HSPDA/Edge, GPS, Wi-Fi, 400Mhz, Windows Mobile 6, Push email compatible with Blackberry's RIM and others, and you name it for what else... I just got one a few weeks ago and it rocks, plus it tethers to my laptop to get broadband on it when I'm away and don't have wi-fi access. You can get some hacks to re-enable the Touch-Flo functionality that AT&T disabled too.

Just got me an HTC touch (I can do without the GPS and UMTS, thanks).
Wifi is included in this European version.

I've used a Motorola Q for the last year, and despite the fact that the processor is a little on the slow side, I've been pretty pleased with it. I mean, it only cost $100, I get full email, web browsing, WinMobile, etc. Of course, I do pay $120 a month to Verizon for unlimited web and 900 mins a month. I use my Vonage line if I know I'm gonna be on the phone for a while.

blackberry curve or any 8000+ model. i have several colleagues who have blackberry products... and they all seem to love their phones.

I am just about to get the Moto Q. Could anyone tell me if you can put AIM on it?

You guys gotta catch up. I'm waiting to get my hands on the LG KS20. Small and thin (12.9mm) with a sexy touch screen like the Prada, but without the bullshit branding. Autofocus camera with flash (iPhone: no flash... what were they thinking?) and best of all HSDPA and WIFI. Do some research on it and I'm sure you'll be as impressed as I am.

Man, that's a good question. There's a *NEW* Q that Verizon sells with their Vcast service (plus I think it's a quicker processor). . . But I don't know if it's got native support for AIM. Someone else might be able to answer whether or not there's a WinMobile version of AIM.

I can tell you that Yahoo's new "Go" service includes native support for flickr, and Google Maps works pretty well on Win Mobile (great for directions, etc).

I find the HTC touch products such.. hell any cell phone that is touch screen is a hunk of shit as far as I'm concerned.. its damn near impossible to type or dial while you are driving because you cant feel any buttons.

I used to have an HTC touchscreen phone... and now i have a BB 8830... the 8830 is by far the best phone Ive ever used.

I recently got the HTC/ATT Tilt, the phone itself is pretty damn awesome, though a little heavy, but its a great screen and has some great features.

Windows Mobile is slow as shit though, which drives me crazy.

If I had to choose another phone it'd probably the Voyager or whatever the new Iphone will be called.

so I am guessing that the palm treo phones suck? I was thinking about getting the 8830 bb also..
