Hey guys,

I was wondering if someone could recommend a good paid or free forum to learn adwords/facebook ppc?

I was a member of a ppc forum about a year ago...i made my membership fee back but i didnt have much money to invest at the time and ended up quiting.

I went back to that place but it seems that those who learned their stuff decided to go solo and so....that forum is now dead.

I know many will say well you can learn all that here for free...and while that might indeed be the case i would much rather go somewhere where there are active workshops/case studies n such..

I was thinking about ppc coach but i dont know if that place is still active.....anyone has any input about that place? is it still active?

If asking about special forums/membership ppc sites is againt the rules....i am sorry i am sort of a noob here...and since i am typing all of this on my crappy phone i cant exactly docmuch multitasking/multi tab browsing to check the rules....at any rate mods...feel free to move/erase this thread if i am violating any forum rule..

Learn the basics of setting up a campaign, and then set some up. I guarantee you will learn alot more by setting some up. Yes they will probaly fail but then you can work out why they failed and remeber why you failed when you set up your next campaign.

Just my opinion.

Perry Marshall's book on AdWords remains, as far as I know, the best source. It's available on Amazon, eBay, probably at your nearest Books-A-Million, etc. He also has material on his site about Facebook, but I have never read it so no opinion either way.

good stuff.. I'll check out Perry's book... I have a couple of hundreds on one of my PPC accs.. I know the first campaign I run will be a train wreck but... heck! leaning costs money so I am not too worried about losing that money as long as I learn some valuable stuff...

Again, I am not completely lost as I have run YSM campaigns in the past and I broke even each and every time but obviously .. adwords environment is completely different from YSM so I need to get myself acquainted with it... and w their ad management program as well...

another good book (about 1/10th the price of perry's) is Advanced Google Adwords by Brad Geddes -- gives you all the fundamentals (he's super thorough), it's well organized and pretty easy to follow. its like 40 bucks. also it's >500 pages i believe.

Ads4dough, your AM, a voucher, and a bottle of vodka.

I've got a spare $100 voucher if you want? I'll let it go for what I paid for it on DP (I then found out my account was apparently over 14 days old)

The best way is to pick an offer you know a lot about with a reputable network, take $1,000 that you aren't scared to lose and piss off $100 a day while refining your campaigns.

By the time you get to your last $200 you should be able to break even on that campaign.

Don't expect to make $1,000 in a day for the first month, just breaking even so you can try out new strategies without losing money should be your goal.

It really is that simple. Once you get to that point the sky is the limit.

The reason not many people know that is because very few are willing or able to blow $1,000. Especially now a days. The recession is real so it's hard for most to get started.

Good luck with your efforts man. Maybe someone can PM you some cheap adwords promo codes to get you started with less risk.

It's really not rocket science. There is a ton of information out there and the programs are very easy to get used to, especially nowadays. Finding a product with an affiliate program you can turn into a profitable campaign, however, not so easy.
