It's been kind of sad to see the Left's response to the overwhelming citizen fury over how they unconstitutionally rammed socialism into the fabric of this country.

As opposed to standing up for their ideals and the "progressivism" they once proudly touted, they've been reduced to saying "Yes, we're shitty, but the other guys are equally shitty".

These are just stale leftist talking points, i.e. preaching to the choir in order to revive the flagging base. At least I assume that's what he was going for.

The only other defense is that it's "satire" and the people are simply too dense, stupid, and unenlightened to appreciate the brilliant comic wit.

Sigh... no, when I said "disconnected from reality", that's precisely what I meant. When I said "misconceptions", that's exactly what I meant.

Almost every single one of these sign-makers think they are mocking or "satirizing" a conservative point of view, when in reality they clearly have no knowledge of how conservatives really feel on a variety of these issues. Their idea of conservatives is what their leftist mini-messiahs, Stewart/Maher et al, have told them it is.

Their jesters set up the phantom ghosts and then bravely knock them down to roaring cheers from the sheeple. And every sign is merely an echo of those ghosts, those strawmen, etc.. This crowd's signs eerily reflects the astonishing success of the liberal media's brainwashing attempts. Thank God I'm not one of them.

Truly fascinating to watch the leftist bubble/feedback loop and the psychosis its engendered.
