There are a lot of potential plays, but you're going to want to play them differently now than you would have wanted to in anticipation of the storm before this week. Commodities with heavy ocean freight volume in the NE trade routes, infrastructure contractors along the coast, alternative transportation from the subway systems, wind turbine suppliers/manufacturers, hotel chains just inland from evac zones. . . tons of possible plays. At this point you're better off playing a bullish swing after the storm. Watch for buying opps in blue chips that are hit unrealistically hard on Wednesday.

True, but there are also going to be a ton of homeowners opening new policies once the storm passes. They're all going to think this will happen every year now. Rates will go up accordingly too.

Also some plays into companies such as Dominos would have worked well since lots of folks didn't want to travel on Sat or Sun and would rather order delivery. Good shorts would be in insurance companies. Imagine the amount of claims bound to come out.

Metals are dropping in value but nothing that severe. Biggest hit was taken by Copper at -1.24% so far today but Gold is only down -0.13%.

A guy that I conversed with frequently a few years ago, Maurice Haraury, made $120k in one day selling "Osama is dead tees"

He contacted EVERYONE he knew to get links back to his site, to ramp up in SEO......... offering a share of money but i doubt he'd really do that, just knowing him.

But none the less, came off clean. And considering he was the VP of a major footwear manufacturer that owns a variety of celebrity brands, he didn't even need the money.

I want to do something for the presidential election but i need a partner
 
They just issued a "Do Not Drink Water" order for people in parts of Long Island..........
Not even cleanable by boiling or anything... This is going to get ugly.

Sure it's cleanable , just not by your average long-islander.

A teaspoon of bleach can clean 1,000+ gallons of water from any known bacteria.
 
I already made Livestrong-style bracelets to "raise funds for Hurricane Sandy victims" AKA me, jeffrey, my 30 children and their baby mamas.

Been selling them for $10 each at the local mall. Pocketed $8,420 today, looking to break $10k tomorrow.
