Best way to create an online betting website

I am planning on creating an online betting website, and would like to now what do I create it in? I assume html is out and so also java and ecommerce/wordpress.

For instance, Canbet.com - Sports Betting, Casino, Poker & Live Asian Handicap Football Online Betting makes use of asp.
What besides ASP can I use?

there's two huge components to an online gambling system, the front end game and the backend data management. The backend can be coded in asp if you want, or whatever else serverside language blows your skirt up.

The front end can be javascript based, flash based, silverlight, java, whatever. You would need a very robust security system to prevent bots and fraud, especially since real money belonging to real people will be on the line at all times.

to say it's a big undertaking could be the most understated comment of the year...
