where is the best place to go to find out how many backlinks your site has (most precise way of doing it).

i know you can go to google and type link:yoursite.com, but I hear there are better ways of doing this.

I've been looking for something similar that provides consistent results. dnScoop is the best I've tried so far...

Site Value Report
value.gif

The estimated value of http://www.wickedfire.com is: $13,261

This value is calculated based on several factors shown above, including: Links, Traffic (Alexa), age of the domain, site category, domain keyword popularity, and overall occurrences of the domain name on the web.

You can buy and sell established sites in the dnScoop Marketplace.

Try dnScoop my friend you will like it. (But there are a bunch of sites that do stuff like this.) dnScoop tells you a bunch of info not just backlinks. Also you might try the SEO for FireFox plugin (by that SEO Book guy).

Accurate within $0.25 deviation............................................................................................................... Are you kidding? None of those automated tools are EVER accurate. They gave me a $13K appraisal on what I thought was a throw-away domain that I was considering selling cheap or letting expire.

Yahoo site explorer seems to be the most accurate. Sometime hotbot (!) actually shows more, but it's wildly different mostly.

Google is obviously not very accurate for this kind of thing.

Someone has a working copy of xinu up at: xinureturns.com
I just checked out dnscoop - pretty good information - but as far as backlinks, it's pulling from yahoo.
