Best way to monetize this website?

I have got a site with somewhere between 1000-2500 unique visitors a day / 8000-12000 impressions per day. It's a website where I post descriptions of different downloads and link out to where it can be downloaded.

I've tried putting AdSense on the site but the CPC is very low in this niche so it's not really worth it.

Any ideas of how I can best monetize this website?

I think you gonna have to be more specific than that.
What kind of downloads? Applications, Movies, Music?

Legal or illegal downloads?

You could always set up a newsletter.
With that many unique visitors a day you could have
a pretty hefty list quick.

Then start sending out related offers.
(A bunch of threads here on WF that explain
the best way to build trust and gain the most $$ from
sending out emails)
 
Promote some gaming offer (banner type offer) AND collect a list for big $$$. Just make sure you don't abuse your list.. Provide SOME kind of value (obviously $$ > value), but you wanna be able to keep going back to your list and making $$$.. don't just fuck it all up by offering some bullshit no-value scam on your first shot.
 
Here what I would do,

Test Adsense, but not just test the path, but test ad placement. Move the text links near the things people click. Seems to be work great for me. Try some different ad placement, and give it a few weeks. Yes, it's not going to be the highest rate.

I would say at least a month.

Here what I would add, try doing some Amazon affiliate program too.

Try that for a month

See a pattern here... Test, try, test, try.

Although, I would for sure do a email sign up, so you can market to them later for things.


To be honest, I would take everyone suggest, and try it out for a month or three. It's really going to be your best option here.

Hi there! The best strategy of monetizing your site is by integrating an offerwall and use it to display relevant offers which your users can avail in exchange for rewards... I think it is the most effective monetization method you can use since this website deals with posting links for downloads and I can truly say it's workable since I'm also using an offerwall tool from OfferDaddy to help my website generate more revenues...:)
