"Beware of a Craigslist Scammer!!! There is someone, NOT ME, listing my guitar, with my picture, and a FAKE link to my Ebay listing. His link directs you somewhere other than Ebay, but looks like Ebay. I've reported him and I hope he gets what's coming."

I sent like 150 clicks to this non-tech savvy guy's auction before he had my CL post flagged and removed and then added that dramatic warning to his auction.

I'm fairly new to CL marketing...is this pretty common?

That is pretty funny. Your actually helping sell this dudes guitar and he's bitching. LOL

LOL. With so many fools how can you convince people to stop using Auctiva so affiliates will send them more bidders?

Yeah when I first started with CL I got "outed" with a post like that. However I'm pretty sure it was a competitor. :/

I guess it must be beginners bad luck. A couple years ago I spent about 4 hours on the CL forums arguing with their loyal minions about a perfectly legitimate ad of mine that was removed unjustly. I guess I'm going to have to stop taking it so personally. Haha.

When I was doing some CL, I used to read through all of the shit-mail.. CL people are generally a little more intelligent than the rest of the population (at least in the niche I was promoting), so it was always fun to read (and respond sometimes.. hahah, I couldn't resist). Don't worry about it though, never had a problem with even the worst of complaints.

Are you serious? I find them dimwitted but stubborn. I hate the CL population more than any other people. They are completely motivated for no reason.

Hence why I added "(at least in the niche I was promoting)" directly following that statement.

what a dumbass! I know it might be futile, but did you attempt to explain the fact that you're an advertiser/promoter for ebay? And in so doing, you're advertising/promoting his auction? Eh, probably not worth the keyboard strain.
