Big AdWords Problem Plz Help

Ok great so ive been running an ad for a month straight at .03-.04 cents per click, getting thousands of clicks per day at usually about 20% CTR, with one competing ad, which is above me. Suddenly yesterday, it randomly went up to .40 cents. I of course emailed those idiots and they of course gave me the standard "each ad has a score, you must improve your score blah blah blahhhhhhhhhhhhh" But no, it makes no sense to me how you go from .03 to .40 magically. Anyone have any suggestions?

Google's pricing algo is pretty involved. There are a lot of factors that come into play.

Your landing page quality score impacts your minimum bid, so if when they updated the algo, it could have hit you and boosted your minimum bid.

yeah that shit really sucks and seems to happen quite often with Adwords.

So most likely a landing page problem then?
