According to Compete.com, Bing was able to amass 49.57 million unique visitors in its first month as Microsoft’s official search engine. Bing’s traffic trumps that of Digg (38.96 million) Twitter (23 million), and CNN (28.54 million). We want to stress that this focuses on U.S. visitors, since Compete does not track international visits.

Google in June: 145m
Yahoo in June: 135m

(according to compete.com, so take that as you will)

Bing More Popular Than Twitter, CNN, and Digg

if you've noticed all the shady, sketch-bag ways they push traffic to bing.. this number makes sense. This traffic level is not sustainable.

Of course it did. They budgeted about $500 million to advertise it IIRC. Lets see how it does over the next year.

well its not that hard to see why considering they already had a solid amount of traffic from live.com search which is now going to bing.

I'll be honest, MSN/Bing maps birds-eye view is pretty nice when scouting out a place to buy a house. Google Street view doesn't always show you everything you want to see, and satellite doesn't get close enough in.

Sure it is.
How many idiots do you think just put search terms into their browser bar, or the search function on the start-up page?
Which, if they are the idiots we want in our demographics, is likely to be Bing, as that's what IE defaults to... and IE is what, >70% of the desktop browser market?

You guys are forgetting about Market Positioning.
Example: Coke, Tylenol, Crest.
Unless they introduce a purple cow.

Bings been kind to me, I've seen some nice increases in traffic/revenue thanks to bing. Some of these sites don't even have many backlinks but they still be gettin the bing luv. I hope they kick google in the nuts.

This could all change once chrome os starts getting established.

i notice no ads show on bing, so is everyone using adcenter getting no impressions?
its the same as live. You search for something first, than see sponsored links. Unless you are asking about content network on adcenter which i dont know about.
