Bitcoin hits $100

This thread reminds me of time a buddy of mine who was knee deep in Iomega stock. I think he had about $700k in stock from a tiny investment of $10k or whatever. Nothing I said to him could penetrate his noggin. He rode the market down and still managed to make at least a hundred thousand but his ass was sore. Sorta like someone shoved a fistful of butt coins in there.:moon: To this day, he won't talk stocks with me.

It also reminds me of an ex-boss I had. He had to buy real estate because everyone else was. He just had to get in! I told him he would regret it. Well, his condo lost about 50% in value and was short sold about two years ago.

Greed and stupidity are a lethal combination.
...I was just thinking the same thing bro.

Govs want something to tax and follow tax evadors, money laundering, sponsoring terrorists...etc.

Banks help them do that because they can answer the what, who and where.

Is this doable with bitcoin?

This came via email today...

Over the easter weekend due to a bug in the strongcoin interface hackers were able to access all encrypted private keys held on the Strongcoin server.
This means for people who had weak passwords on their keys or people who had a lot of information in their clue field the BTC may have already been stolen.
We are recommending that everyone transfer their funds to another address within StrongCoin with a strong password or to another service. Do not keep your BTC on the existing address unless your very sure about the integrity of your password.
The easiest way to transfer money out of StrongCoin is to send the money to an alternative address using the send payment screen.

We have detected a security breach. Services are temporarily suspended until we have thoroughly investigated the situation. We will resume services as soon as possible. Please do not send funds to your address for the time being. Stay tuned for further updates, thank you for your understanding.

really really hope you're trolling. That or that 100k is only like 5% of your net worth.

Just hang on to this. You may need it

Meh, so here is my story:

About ten years ago I wanted to buy a house. Married, one kid with another on the way. Bought a run-down crappy house in East Vancouver that had already gone up 60% in value in the last two years. The guy I bought it from was a flipper, had only owned the house for a year.

But I was tired of renting. That was the reason I bought.

There was a lot wrong with that house. And everybody from famiy to friends said that was the stupidest thing I could ever do.
I lost track of how many people told me over the next few years that they were waiting for the crash in real estate in Vancouver so they could buy back it.

I am deeply aware that the best financial decision I ever made was considered one of the stupidest at the time by everybody. Nobody can predict the future correctly. Well, some people do, but I think luck plays a larger factor than most people want to believe.

Respect. I didn't think you were kidding.

I've been waiting for someone to put something up
