WHY I BELIEVE SOCIAL BOOKMARKING WORKS
The social bookmarking sites we use allow you to submit a "news" story like Digg. This story sits on its own page with a link to your site and few other OBL. We spin (2) 100+ word stories to provide unique, relevant content on your bookmarking page. The sites we use offer a wide range of dofollow/nofollow/redirect links from around the world to provide your site a very balanced and diverse link profile.
MY 1-2 KNOCKOUT PUNCH
After I run a bookmarking submission for any new site I then follow up with 4-5 PR dofollow comment gigs for $5 each on Fiverr.com. You just have to make sure the gig specifies the PR will be on the actual page with the link. Some people try to pass off Angela style profile links on high PR sites as PR links when the profile itself where the link is will be PR N/A. Here's the search I use:
