Blocking LP Lockdown by NickyCakes

I hate to be a dick to someone trying to help, but, maybe you should sign up to an account and check to see if we have these features yet before getting all up in arms about us not having them, haha.

That said, I always welcome constructive criticism, and as you guys who helped beta test it know, we bend over backwards to implement suggestions.

Nicky, here's my suggestion. This one's free.

User has a PHP script on their end which connects to your server and passes through $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'] (the viewer's IP). Your server replies with a YES/NO based on the criteria they choose.
If you're afraid of your servers going down and their landing page not loading, you can easily add:

1) A timeout on replies from your server.
2) Integrate your uptime script on the PHP script to ping YOUR servers.
3) Just setup a failover system with 2 load balancers -> 3-4 application servers, and you'll never need to worry about your system going down. Load balancers can handle DDoS attacks themselves.

I say to them, "don't buy it."

We will never steal your shit, nor do we need to.

cool idea bro, but sry nicky, I wont even think about buying it. shit's too proprietary and I'm not very happy about seeing you making smart cloaking systems available to the biggest noobs.

Thanks for attempting to be a cunt and put the tracking url on as many places as possible to try and cause problems (it failed, but it looks funny in the logs).

Get ready for idiots like this in mass. My advice is to get one really good response and just stick to it over and over, else they'll just be cunts forever.

No such thing as bad publicity amirite?

Not even close to true, ask the new owner of WFReview how a single email can crush a guy down.

Nicky, here's my suggestion. .

Sorry dickhole, no redemption for you today, GTFO

33/33/33 - 33% 'get it' and you're golden, 33% are ar-tards like command and will never get it, no matter how hard you try, and 33% just don't give a fuck. You'll sleep better ignoring the middle guys, I've been there!

Agreed, unless tools like that have a high barrier to entry, noobs will always fuck something up for the rest of us. This goes for any software, not simply nick's.

Of course it's not true always, (although i think in the case of which you speak, it's sound like the guy was being a big freakin moron and then broadcasting it.) But in the case of a brand new product/service that just hit the market 2 days ago, this stuff is gold. There are (at current count) 748 views and subtracting the repeat views, that's about 400- 500 people that now know about this product and at the very least have their curiosities piqued. Bring in the shit talkers vs the fan bois, throw in a little random thread derailment from turbo and that number will probably at least triple.

Just FYI, wasn't trolling you, just being sarcastically ironic!

Without doing any research on this I'm just gonna ask - doesn't WPSmartTools already do most of this without a subscription? Or is it better at locking down LP's and cloaking? Not sure, just wondering because as Turbo mentioned now my interest is piqued in a product I wasn't familiar with.

PM me your email and I'll find you an invite, and a quick refund if you're unimpressed.

NickyCakes just released a cool tool called LP Lockdown, which is invite only. Blocks people from stealing your landing pages.

The only problem with that is that to make it work even if his servers go down, he needs to implement it as javascript. So you can just block his javascript to make sure you're always viewing the right page on affiliate sites.

From his video, where he shows omgacai.com, if you disable javascript in your browser you'll see these two scripts load:

http://11i.us/c/4OSIM7
http://11i.us/t/tHseoh

The first one redirects you to the dummy page, so if you get a firefox / browser addon where you can blacklist URLs, I would start by blocking the domain 11i.us entirely from ever loading.

That's a start, since i'm sure he'll have much more domains, but if he's been building up a list of affiliate IPs, it's easier to build a smaller list of domains.

Good luck Nicky.

I hope that a plaque comes loose from one of your arteries and gets stuck in your brain, causing you paralysis in half of your body.

For the people saying this wont guard against screen shots and people who manually recreate (or piece together) landing pages....

DUH!

In sports, plays eventually get figured out. You can't keep scouts out of the game, but you can keep them away from the play book.

Smart landing page builders have been injecting shit like this into stolen pages for a long time. Nicky even wrote about it in his noob guide.

Any new product will have concerns to work past, but this product is damn amazing, especially for people who can't or don't want to write there own protection software.

Thanks Nicky, awesome work.
